We hope you like our ideas for this prompt. We not only wrote the cute, humorous side but we also took the liberty to add a bit of drama to it.

Ichigo got used to Grimmjow's Spanish sleep-talking, and sometimes he even understood bits and pieces of whatever Grimmjow was dreaming about. He wasn’t any expert in that foreign language, but the two semesters of Spanish he had taken awhile back helped him to understand the basics. So, if his rusty, broken Spanish wasn't tripping on him, he was sure that Grimmjow often dreamed about cats and strawberries. Grimmjow often mumbled something about “fresa en la cama” and “gato quiere fresa” all while snuggling in closer to Ichigo. If Ichigo ever heard Grimmjow purring while sleeping he never dared telling the other.

Sleeping next to Grimmjow had its ups and downs, Ichigo had been kicked and slapped awake more than a couple of times. Grimmjow had even kicked him off the bed once all while yelling “¡Pantera!”. That time, Ichigo's reflexes got the best of him - both helping and not helping him, as Ichigo noticed he was about to fall off the bed Ichigo grabbed Grimmjow by the arm to prevent his fall. It didn’t work. Both of them ended up on the floor, Grimmjow mumbling “es todo su culpa fresa”. Ichigo kicked Grimmjow awake that night.

Most nights Ichigo could just brush it off whatever Grimmjow was sleep-talking. However, once in a blue moon, Grimmjow had nightmares and those nights were scary. Ichigo had woken up a few times with Grimmjow mumbling “¡pare!”, “¡no, él no!”, “¡Por favor no lo mates!”, while tears fell down Grimmjow’s cheeks. Sometimes Grimmjow’s pitch had such straggle and desperation in it that Ichigo didn’t know what to do beside trying to wake him up or cuddling closer until Grimmjow woke up or stopped trembling and panicking. Once, however, it was Ichigo who panicked a bit as he heard Grimmjow snarling right on his ear: “no, esta vez no, Aizen” all while holding tightly Ichigo against his body.

Despite the restless nights they might have, when morning comes Grimmjow is the one who wakes Ichigo up while whispering next to his ear: “mi querido”, “eres muy lindo”, “te quiero mucho”. And when Ichigo opens his eyes he is met with dazzling sapphire-like eyes and a bright loving smile.

Ichigo is not overly jealous, but he does get its moments when they are out and guys and girls keep (not so discreetly) passing their numbers on a piece of paper to his boyfriend. Grimmjow loves those moments as they are rare, but he always ends up making a show for those “suitors" by grabbing Ichigo and kissing him. The one time Ichigo really got jealous and furious was when a guy decided he could slang an arm around Grimmjow's neck to kiss him in the cheek. That one time got them kicked out of the place as Ichigo punched the guy in the face. Suffice to say that Grimmjow loved the show, and pleasured Ichigo to no ends when they got home.

Grimmjow is the jealous type, the overprotective, possessive jealous type. He needs assurance that Ichigo is there for him, he craves for attention and affection - even tho he'll never admit it.

Ichigo considers that Grimmjow has two jealousy moods: 1) The “I'll rip your throat out” mood; and 2) The “leave me alone” mood. The first one happens once every so often as he let things build up instead of talking them out. This is the dangerous, violent Arrancar instinct of possess and conquer, eat or be eaten that leads to Ichigo more often than not to punch Grimmjow in the face just so he calms down. While the second one occurs once every month, which is more often than Ichigo wishes for. But it is tolerable and even laughable most of the time when Ichigo makes Grimmjow realize he’s been ridiculous and end up showering the other with kisses and cuddles.

It is always fun and games when Grimmjow is jealous over someone who looks far too long at Ichigo’s direction, or the occasional guy or girl that tries to hit on Ichigo at a bar. Those are fleeting moments and his jealousy never gets on the way. At those times, Grimmjow wraps his arms around Ichigo, and shows the middle finger to whoever decided it was a good idea to flirt with Ichigo. When they are back home, Grimmjow makes Ichigo scream his name until the neighbors can hear them.

The problem arises when Grimmjow gets jealous of Ichigo’s friends. If they start spending too much time with Ichigo, Grimmjow feels left out. So he gets into such a sour mood that the only thing that calms the guy down is having a friendly but bloodied sparring session with his boyfriend.

Sometimes Grimmjow gets jealous over mundane things, such as Ichigo not paying attention to him because he is studying or because Ichigo keeps running errands to Urahara and not spending time with him. At those times, the best way of calming the beast down is to let him sulk in Ichigo’s room.

In any case, Ichigo knows how to handle the jealous-possessive Arrancar as Ichigo always makes small gestures to appease Grimmjow necessity for assurance and love.
